Undergrad Administrative Assistant
Kendall joined the Global Resilience Institute in September 2017. She is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and International Affairs, with a minor in Global Social Entrepreneurship at Northeastern University. Prior to joining the Institute, Kendall worked as a legal assistant with a Kansas City-based law firm.
Communications & Media Manager
Christine Boynton joined the Global Resilience Institute as Communications & Media Manager in June 2017. Previously, Boynton served as Digital Executive Producer for a Baltimore TV station, managing the brand’s web and social presence across multiple channels. She got her start writing for a Washington D.C.-area publication covering the global air transportation industry and in 2012 was named ‘Best Young Aerospace Journalist’ by the Royal Aeronautical Society. Boynton graduated Cum Laude from McDaniel College in Westminster, Md. with a dual major in English and Communications.
Carlisle Dockery joined the Global Resilience Institute in September 2017 as the Staff Assistant. Prior to starting this position, she served as a FoodCorps service member at GROW Windham in Connecticut, working with elementary schools to bolster nutrition and sustainability initiatives. Carlisle graduated from Davidson College with a B.A. in Anthropology
Senior Grants and Administrative Manager
Aron Ezaz is the Senior Grants and Administrative Manager at Northeastern University’s Global Resilience Institute. Prior to arriving at Northeastern, Aron worked at Partners In Health, where he held the role of Grants Analyst, managing a multimillion dollar portfolio of grants for the organization’s West Africa operations. Previously, Aron also held the role of Controller and Grant Program Director at Concordia College Alabama where he was responsible for the overall daily financial and operational matters of the institution. Aron completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Mississippi, graduating with an Accounting degree. In addition, Aron also completed his graduate degree in Accounting at Jackson State University. Aron is a native of Eritrea, a country located on the Red Sea coast of the Horn of Africa. Coming from a multilingual background, Aron speaks several languages, namely, English, Tigrigna (native), and is proficient in Italian and Spanish as well.
Research Program Manager
Chris Grasso is a Research Program Manager at Northeastern University’s Global Resilience Institute. He graduated Cum Laude from Northeastern University with a Bachelor of Arts in International Affairs and a concentration in Middle East Studies in May of 2016. He is also a former research assistant at the Kostas Research Institute for Homeland Security and previously worked as a legal assistant at a local Massachusetts law firm. In the fall of 2015, Grasso attended the Lorenzo de Medici Institute in Florence, Italy where he studied current security issues facing the European Union.
Senior Web Specialist
Abhishek Jain joined the Global Resilience Institute in July 2017. He is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Computer Science from Northeastern University. Previously, he worked as Senior Software Developer for BigBinary LLC, a web app development company headquartered in Florida.
Undergrad Administrative Assistant
Delanie joined the Global Resilience Institute in August 2017. She is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and International Affairs, with a specialization in Security Studies and a minor in Russian at Northeastern University. Prior to joining the Institute, Delanie has studied international business in Russia, lived in Mexico and the Republic of Georgia, and has held numerous positions in customer service and volunteerism, including multiple winters as a skiing instructor for people with physical and developmental disabilities.
Project Manager and Special Assistant
Angie Valencia is a Project Manager and Special Assistant at the Global Resilience Institute. She manages and carries out all small and major events for the institute, coordinates and manages communications between the Founding Director and all key internal/external stakeholders, and works to support the operational and research vision of the institute as needed. Angie has previously worked at C-space, a market research company where she lead the logistics and project management of US based offline Consumer Insight, Innovation & Brand Strategy projects and events in addition to project managing accounts such as Santander and Kimberly Clark. Valencia graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology from Connecticut College in New London, CT.
