Brittle Infrastructure, Community Resilience, and National Security

This article emphasizes resilience, the ability to withstand and respond to as well as quickly recover from a disaster, as critical to managing and deterring security threats. In particular, it details one key method of building resilience through the careful regulation of, and investment in, key infrastructure systems. Further, the article provides guidance for bringing theory into practice through community-level models for increasing resilience.
