Caroline Crawford is the Marketing & Communications Manager at the Global Resilience Institute (GRI) at Northeastern University. In this role, she leads the development and execution of all marketing and communications initiatives across GRI. Ms. Crawford was previously the Marketing & Communications Manager at B. Riley Financial, Inc. where she managed the development and distribution of all digital/print brand and marketing assets and communications, as well as managed public relations activities for the firm. Ms. Crawford was responsible for creating and maintaining marketing collateral through collaboration with client-facing teams and internal creative and media partners, and developed compelling email, web, social media, and press communications that drove action and awareness as part of various multi-channel marketing campaigns. Additionally, Ms. Crawford contributed to and oversaw the execution of firm-hosted internal and external events, including several large investor conferences with up to 1,500 attendees, and developed supporting multi-channel marketing campaigns for each event. Prior to B. Riley Financial, she held various roles at Outspoken, Inc. and HGI Global Communications focusing on brand outreach and content development. Ms. Crawford has deep creative direction and brand development expertise, and including extensive experience leading the development of multiple web properties and digital assets, with an added focus on understanding the end-user experience and connecting it with business objectives. Through partnerships with business leaders, she has proven experience aligning marketing initiatives that accomplish overarching business goals. Ms. Crawford holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from Concordia University in Montreal, Quebec.
