Michelle McQueeney is a member of the Global Resilience Institute’s Post-Disaster Assessment and Advisory Team.
McQueeny is the President of J&M Global Solutions, LLC a business management consultant providing specialized risk managing products and consulting services to governments, businesses, educational institutions, and the health care industry.
McQueeny is responsible for the strategic direction, fiscal health, and management of the firm; provides oversight of all contracts; and manages the firm’s quality control process. She is sought out for her ability to foster and strengthen stakeholder partnerships and build consensus. Michelle supports federal, state, and local preparedness, mitigation, and recovery efforts, as well as grant management and application development.
Before founding J&M, Michelle held several positions within the Department of Homeland Security’s Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), including Chief of Staff for FEMA’s Gulf Coast Recovery organization and senior advisor to the Principal Federal Official following Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. Prior to that, she worked in the Mitigation and Preparedness Directorates of FEMA.
GRI’s Post-Disaster Assessment and Advisory Team is a group of experts with deep operational experience in disaster response. Working in ways analogous to National Transportation Safety Board teams, GRI’s team conducts extensive analysis and in-depth interviews about the disaster, the response and recovery efforts.
