Angie Valencia is the Chief of Staff and Assistant Director for External Affairs at the Global Resilience Institute. In this role she leads the development and operations of internal and external relationships critical to GRI’s research and financial success. This includes current partners of the Global Resilience Research Network (GRRN) and other external research, industry, government, and non-government players who are leaders in resilience. In this position she also helps to support business development and funding opportunities by working with her team of project managers in making sure all operational support for business leads is addressed. Working closely with the Assistant Program Manager she helps to lead all major local and international events. Angie has previously worked at C-space, a market research company where she lead the logistics and project management of US based offline Consumer Insight, Innovation & Brand Strategy projects and events for accounts such as Santander and Kimberly Clark among others. Angie has over 15 years experience in customer service and project management for small to large scale companies. Valencia graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology with a minor in Latin American Studies from Connecticut College in New London, CT.
