Do resilient and sustainable design strategies conflict in commercial buildings? A critical analysis of existing resilient building frameworks and their sustainability implications | Global Resilience Institute

In this report, the authors analyze current resilient strategies through various frameworks in order to evaluate current systems that are in place. The report identifies five major themes of resilience which all contain positive, negative, or conditional measurements in relation to a specific building’s life cycle assessment. This evaluation, combined with a sustainability analysis using four separate case studies, provide an in-depth look into the successes and shortcomings of current building design systems and how they can be improved and implemented in the future.
