Energy Storage Stakeholder Discussion Session
This will serve as the first of six stakeholder sessions being hosted in 2019 by the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center (MassCEC) and the Department of Energy Resources (DOER). These sessions will bring together key stakeholders to discuss some of the opportunities and challenges related to energy storage and microgrids across the Commonwealth.
This first event will focus on grid interconnection and will be hosted at Northeastern University, in partnership with the Global Resilience Institute. Leaders from local utilities, policy institutions, and project developers will lead presentations and breakout discussions covering the following topics:
1) Interconnection requirements
2) The current state of affairs for interconnection
3) Uncertainties, ambiguities, and bottlenecks associated with interconnecting energy storage resources in Massachusetts
4) Potential pathways for clearing barriers across the state
"It's only by bringing together experts like yourself that we will be able to achieve stated policy goals to lower energy costs, reduce emissions, and increase resiliency as Massachusetts continues to be a leader in energy storage and microgrids," the event organizers state. "We hope to see you at the first event!"
Registration ends February 20, 2019!
