Discovery Park's Public Policy Research Institute (PPRI) presents a symposium discussing what society can do to mitigate risks and recover faster in the wake of unprecedented natural and man-made hazards. GRI Faculty Affiliate Daniel Aldrich will deliver the keynote: "Why Social Capital Matters During Disasters." A panel discussion will follow, “Multi-Faceted Solutions to Strengthen Communities When Disasters Strike," with experts sharing disaster resilience insights through the lens of their field.
