Global Engineering Congress
The world urgently needs to take action on climate change and engineers have a vital role to play in delivering clean water, sustainable energy and a connected world. In October, the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) will bring together a worldwide community of engineers to look at how we can create real change and plan how the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals can be met.
The Global Engineering Conference (GEC) offers 5 full days of multi-streamed content and a practical programme designed to produce answers that can improve the lives of millions around the world.
On the first day of the Congress, Global Resilience Institute Distinguished Senior Fellow Vilas Mujumdar will present "Developing Infrastructure Resilience - A nexus of engineering and socio-economic disciplines." His presentation will cover the necessity of engineers and socio-economic indiviuals working together to make decisions on climate change adaptation.
