DESCRIPTION:About The Event\nGRRN Partner\, CIGIDEN\, is hosting an international seminar on November 22nd from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the UC San Joaquín Campus in Macul Chile. \nAirborne technologies are becoming allies for Disaster Risk Management. Researchers from the Research Center for Integrated Disaster Risk Management use LiDAR images for their research. This is an optical remote sensing technique that uses laser light to obtain 3D images of the Earth’s surface. \nThe international guest for this seminar will be Jesús Maria Garrido\, Head of the PNOA-LiDAR Service of the National Geographic Institute of Spain\, who will give a keynote talk on the use of this technology and how it can impact\, and contribute\, to the development of knowledge. scientist in Chile.
