About the Event:
Join us for a workshop exploring earthquake and tsunami disaster risk in the Puget Sound and the role the maritime sector might play in planning for and responding to the Big One, helping to move people, supplies, and materials throughout the region. Your participation will help inform potential roles and responsibilities for maritime partners and foster collaboration between the sector and regional emergency managers.
This event will take place Thursday, September 9, 2021 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM ET.
GRI Founding Director Dr. Stephen Flynn will speak at 1:15 PM ET about potential opportunities provided by the maritime sector after an earthquake using examples from past maritime efforts to respond after an incident.
