Please join us for Climate Change: A Course for Everyone, the Spring 2020 Myra Kraft Open Classroom, a weekly series on Wednesdays from 6:00 – 8:00 pm (ET) in West Village F Room 20. This course is offered jointly by the Northeastern University School of Public Policy and Urban Affairs’ Social Impact Lab and Dukakis Center. All are welcome to join in person or watch the Facebook livestream; videos will be posted on Thursday mornings. Panels including Northeastern faculty and other scholars, community-based practitioners, and young activists and leaders will examine the science of climate change, its local and global impacts on the natural world, the built environment, and humankind, and strategies for preventing its worst outcomes while preparing for those we can no longer avoid.

This week’s session on The Energy Picture: Fossil Fuel and Alternative Energy will feature the following speakers, including our very own Jennie Stephens.

  • Jennie C. Stephens, Director, School of Public Policy and Urban Affairs, Dean’s Professor of Sustainability Science & Policy, and Director of Strategic Research Collaborations, Global Resilience Institute
  • Emma Thornton, USA Liaison and Coordination Associate, Youth4Nature, Nature4Climate and Climate Guides
