NCSE 2019 Annual Conference: Sustainable Infrastructure & Resilience
The National Council for Science and the Environment is a non-profit organization that works with scientists, educators, policymakers, business leaders, and officials at all level of government to inform environmental policy and decision-making with the use of science. At the NCSE Annual Conference, more than 700 individuals from the environmental science community will convene for meaningful discussions and to form partnerships for solutions. The conference is widely recognized for its notable presenters, innovative programming and outcome-oriented approach.
Global Resilience Institute (GRI) Director for Strategic Research Collaborations Dr. Jennie Stephens will co-chair a January 8th panel presentation on energy education entitled, "Spark: Firing up the NCSE Energy Education Community of Practice."
Global Resilience Research Network (GRRN) members Cecilio Ortiz García and Marla Pérez-Lugo will take part in a panel on January 9th, entitled: "Applying the Convergence of Knowledge, Technologies, and Science to Resilience Thinking: The Case of RISE-PR and the Reconstruction of Puerto Rico's Electric System.
Additionally, Northeastern University School of Public Policy and Urban Affairs Master's student Ibrahim Lopez Hernandez will present on January 10th during a session entitled, "Exploring innovations in teaching and learning resilience: Mapping assets & best practices."
