Perú’s Response to COVID-19: Healthcare Disasters, Vaccine Logistics, Challenges Encountered and Proposed Solutions
Please join GRI’s Distinguished Senior Fellow, Richard Donohoe, for a discussion on his work over the last year in Perú. Donohoe is leading the reconstruction of hospitals after the 2017 El Nino Phenomenon, including adding 5,000 beds for temporary COVID-19 hospitals in 9 districts, developing a national oxygen strategy, as well as clinical treatment. He is working in conjunction with USSOUTHCOM, West Virginia National Guard, and Peru government entities such as INDECI (Disaster Response), UN refugee program, Feed the World and USAID.
We invite all GRRN members and interested colleagues to join as Richard presents on his work over the last year, the challenges encountered, and some of the proposed solutions and collaborative efforts that this global network might be interested in pursuing further.
About the Speaker: Richard Donohoe
Richard Donohoe serves as Vice President and practice director lead for J. S. Held’s Insurance sector support for energy, mining, oil & gas, power & utilities infrastructure programs. Concurrently he serves as Chief Development Officer of Paladin Equity’s energy project development company and joint venture between J.S. Held and Paladin He has 30 years of domestic and international project development experience and advisory in the resiliency sectors for energy, finance, mining, defense, water and healthcare markets. Richard is Co Author of the US Department of Energy and Power Africa “Understanding LNG and Natural Gas Options” and the 2017 US DOE “Global LNG Options” Handbooks, October 2016.
