The 2021 Beyond Data, Innovation, Social network, and Convergence (DISC) Conference will take place online June 18-19.*

Since the World Association for Triple Helix and Future Strategy Studies (WATEF) launched DISC (Daegu-Gyeongbuk International Social Network Conference) in 2013, DISC, now known as Data, Innovation, Social Network, and Convergence as four vectors into the next generation in research, has become a faithful and energetic concourse for collaboration and networking among scholars, industry leaders, and public sector experts from various fields all over the world.

This year there will be five different tracks or topics discussed, each with distinguished guest speakers: Networks and Societies in the Post-COVID-19 World, Triple Helix and Webometrics, Applications of SNA to the Humanities and Social Sciences, The ‘Big Environment’ Era: Realizing the 2030 SDGs and a Decarbonized World in 2050, and Asian Innovations in Social and Technological Change .

GRI Faculty Affiliate Daniel Aldrich will present a special lecture, “Networks and Societies in the post COVID-19 World,” on June 17 at 8:00pm – 10:30pm ET.*
