About this event:

In 2006, agronomist Raphaël Larrère wondered whether industrial ecology was a new paradigm or a fashionable slogan, leaning towards the second hypothesis. This amounted to questioning the relevance of the analogical approach in ecology. Here we would like to reassess this question beyond living / technical dualism. At the heart of this analogy is a central concept: the ecosystem. What does ecology tell us about the ecosystem? \ think of the technique as it is deployed in the singularity of the ecosystem considered, breaking with an environmentalist approach, namely: a techno-diversity. Third, since growth only represents a time in the evolution of an ecosystem, ecosystem thinking involves questioning its maintenance, its persistence, and therefore positioning itself in a post-growth perspective. This seminar delves into this analogical gesture and questions its implications: how to evolve in a socio-techno-ecological system?‌‌
