At the 2025 NJLA Conference, the New Jersey State Library will present several sessions focused on empowering libraries to meet evolving community needs. From expanding access to digital resources to promoting equity in broadband and technology, NJSL continues to lead important initiatives across the state. The speaker is Daniel Aldrich. Daniel is at Northeastern University and as a trained political scientist, focuses his research and writing on resilience.
One major highlight is the discussion around digital equity efforts, including updates on broadband initiatives and new tools like the Palace app that make eBooks more accessible for all New Jersey residents. Sessions will also address how libraries can better reflect cultural diversity in their collections, particularly with a focus on Jewish and Muslim representation in literature.
Through these sessions, NJSL reaffirms its commitment to innovation, inclusion, and community-centered service, ensuring libraries remain vital and forward-looking spaces for everyone.
