Transitioning Energy Systems: Who Leads? Who Benefits?
WISER, the Smart Prosperity Institute (SPI), and Women in Renewable Energy (WIRE) are co-hosting three connected online and open symposia this year showcasing the work of a diverse and interdisciplinary group of energy transitions scholars. The three symposia address vital topics central to energy transformations in Canada and abroad. This project will address diversity gaps in energy research and practice by increasing the profile of racially diverse energy scholars who identify as women, genderfluid, or non-binary. Topics addressed include: Indigenous sovereignty, gender diverse leadership, advances in energy modeling, policy change, energy poverty and understanding inclusive and democratic energy transitions.
GRI Director for Strategic Partnerships, Jennie C. Stephens, will be joining the event as a panelist on “Gender Diverse Leadership in Energy Transitions”
