Professor Develops ‘Emerald Tutu’ Of Floating Wetlands to Protect Boston from Floods
Dr. Julia Hopkins along with other collaborators from The Emerald Tutu project, have created a system of interconnected circular mats of floating vegetation that can be arranged in rings and semicircles to protect urban coasts from sea level rise and intensified storms.
