Brynn Coughlin
Defense Industrial Base Institute (DIBI) Research Associate
- Email: b.coughlin@northeastern.edu
Brynn is a recent Northeastern graduate who earned a B.S. in International Business in December 2024. She has always been interested in broadening her international experiences, as demonstrated by her study abroad stints in South Korea and France (where she honed a passable level of French fluency) and her work as a program assistant in Brazil and Thailand. While at Northeastern, she completed two Co-Ops: One in hedge fund investments (2023) and one in brand management at the Boston Beer Company for Samuel Adams (2024). Her area of interest lies in the intersection of culture, history, branding, and business across borders. Her prior research has mainly focused on products and offerings; still, she is excited to engage in more globally impactful research concentrating on national security as a research associate for the DIBI (Defense Industrial Base Initiative) Institute. When she is (rarely) presented with free time, you can find her reading a good book or hanging out with her sister, Hanna, and cat, Sue, in Northern Vermont, where she was proudly born and raised.
