After Action Report for the Response to the 2013 Boston Marathon Bombings

This document analyzes the Boston Marathon Bombing, first by looking at a timeline and overview of the event, and then focusing analysis on five key areas: preparedness, initial response, ongoing response, apprehension of suspects, and recovery. For each of the focus areas, the report identifies best practices, such as conducting grid searches when trying to apprehend the suspects. It also identifies areas for improvement, such as improving access to mental health resources for first responders during the recovery process.
