Cascadia Rising 2016 Exercise Joint Multi-State After Action Report

Topics: Commercial Facilities & Mass Gatherings, Communications, Emergency Management, Healthcare and Public Health, Transportation, Critical Infrastructure Theory, Policy and Practice,

This after action report analyzes the information collected from the multi-state joint exercise that simulated the impact of an Earthquake along the Cascadia Subduction Zone. The document presents strategic findings for "six core capabilities" that would be critical post-earthquake, such as public health or transportation, and identifies strengths or areas for improvement from the simulated exercise. The after action report also presents larger, more general "strategic findings" that provide information about needed improvements, such as coordination among emergency managers, or familiarity with emergency management documents and doctrines.
