Exposure and Risk Assessment of Chemical Pollution-Contemporary Methodology

This book, written as part of the NATO Science for Peace and Security Series, contains the proceedings of the 2008 NATO Advanced Study Institute on Exposure and Risk Assessment of Chemical Pollution held in Sofia, Bulgaria. Much of the discussion centers around Computational Toxicology, a new branch of toxicology born from rapid technological advancements which aims to model exposure risk and effects of chemicals on biological systems. Further, the new processes necessary to harness the full potential of this new field on the ends of both regulatory agencies and experimentalists are outlined and analyzed. Other chapters explore related issues in exposure and risk assessment of chemical pollution.
