Metrics for Energy Resilience

Topics: Energy, Critical Infrastructure Theory, Policy and Practice,

This report was conducted to address the precarious relationship between energy and the many systems it supports, including the vulnerabilities of these systems to changing conditions. It presents a solution in a multi-dimensional model composed of proposed metrics and emergent resilience literature for more resilient energy-related design and operation schemes. The model is described as superior to previous ones as its complexity allows for the consideration of many variables, including physical systems, information, human behaviors, procedures, and policies.
