Powering America’s Energy Resilience: A Report by the Center for National Policy

This report addresses energy resilience as one of the United States’ most pressing national and economic security priorities. It supports the development of a comprehensive strategic approach for creating more resilient energy infrastructure. It presents six major findings, ranging from the country’s dependence on imported oil to natural gas production and the associated environmental risks. Based on these findings, the authors present seven recommendations ranging from developing and maintaining a North American Energy Resilience Plan to creating a cyber security initiative to shed light on risks to the electric grid.
