Recent Development in Numerical Modeling of Coastal Hydrodynamics and Sediment Transport

Topics: Water/Wastewater,

This book chapter describes recent developments in numerical modeling of nearshore wave processes, 3D coastal circulation driven by surface waves with vegetation at a phase-averaged scale, and wave attenuation by rigid and flexible vegetation, and nearshore sediment transport in three dimensions. Using these models, scientists will be able to better predict and understand the interaction between waves and coastal resilience.
