This article analyzes the resilience of different cities by using different empirical data, engineering methods, and simulations. The authors to analyze how different events could impact a city, and how resilient their infrastructure would be to those shocks. Finally, the authors recommend integrating the approach to existing mitigation and recovery processes in order to increase a city's resiliency.
