Water Centric Sustainable Communities: Planning, Retrofitting and Building the Next Urban Environment

This book approaches water as a reusable, recyclable resource in urban settings and explores cities' relationships with it, the hydrological cycle, and the environment as a whole. It emphasizes the creation of "ecocities" or otherwise the recreation of current cities into these more sustainable, low-impact environments for stabilizing water supplies. It provides insight into the history of urban water, stormwater, and wastewater management and how this information can be implemented into these new designs, as well as several case studies of successful "ecocities" across the globe.
