Abstract

This study explores the role of policy in shaping entrepreneurial ecosystems across various stages of economic development. Employing the Entrepreneurial Ecosystems and Policy Mix frameworks, it examines the policy configurations in high income countries (HICs) and low and medium income countries (LMICs), and their impact on entrepreneurial performance indicators. The analysis reveals distinct policy approaches between HICs and LMICs, with LMICs focusing on foundational policies like education and institutional frameworks, while HICs leverage tax incentives and cultural support. This research highlights the importance of tailoring policy interventions to the specific developmental stages of countries, offering insights for policymakers to enhance entrepreneurship and economic growth effectively.
