Energy and Communication Infrastructure for Disaster Resilience in Rural and Regional Australia
This paper looks at disaster mitigation and recovery in rural and regional Australia. Disasters in these regions can have severe cascading impacts that often lead to loss of power and access to communication. The authors analyze methods of returning services rapidly by developing micro-grid systems, and examine the policy environment surrounding this issue.
