Urban Resilience from the Bottom-Up: Our Approach to Inclusive Planning

About The Event

A presentation session with Rizqa Hidayani from Kota Kita Foundation (Indonesia)

Indonesia, the world’s largest archipelagic nation, is urbanizing rapidly, and its cities are at risk of the climate crisis. Kota Kita, an NGO based in Solo, Indonesia, believes that building a more climate-resilient and sustainable urban future for all starts with putting citizens at the heart of the decision-making process.

Join Rizqa Hidayani, Program Manager for Urban Resilience Initiatives at Kota Kita Foundation, for a presentation on Kota Kita’s innovative approach to building urban resilience from the bottom-up through participatory and inclusive planning. Learn how we facilitate communities and local governments in Indonesian cities to create more inclusive, sustainable, and resilient urban environments, and gain valuable insights on how this approach is applied in the Global South.
