Linda Kowalcky to become Associate Director for the School of Public Policy and Urban Affairs | Global Resilience Institute

Congratulations to Faculty Affiliate Linda Kowalcky, who will take on the role of Associate Director for the School of Public Policy and Urban Affairs on July 1.

The Associate Director provides strategic and operational support to the Director, as well as acts as a liaison and champion of the School’s program directors, faculty, and students. The role requires both tremendous insight into and oversight of the School’s curricular offerings, program design, and student support.

The position is an ideal fit for Professor Kowalcky, who brings years of experience serving in senior government positions at the intersection of policy and academia. Before coming to SPPUA, she served as liaison to higher education for former Boston Mayor Thomas Menino, with responsibility for higher education policy, city-university partnerships, and campus planning for the 34 colleges and universities in Boston. She also served as senior staff in the U.S. House of Representatives.
