When Rising Seas Hit Home: Hard Choices Ahead for Hundreds of US Coastal Communities

This analysis from the Union of Concerned Scientists details when and where chronic inundation and coastal flooding will affect US communities. The study finds that by 2035, about 170 communities will be subject to chronic inundation, and by 2100, 40-60% of East and Gulf coastal communities will experience chronic inundation, but concludes that aggressive action can slow these effects of climate change.
