United Nation’s Day Panel Event

The United Nations Association chapter at Northeastern presents: United Nations Day! Join us on Thursday, October 21st, at 6pm, to celebrate the work of the UN, and have conversations on global health, youth activism, gender equality, displacement, refugees, and more.

The evening will be split into two sections with a keynote speaker and a panel from 6pm-7pm in Behrakis 010, and a later section for networking opportunities and activities from 7:15pm-8:30pm in 1, 2, and 3 Cahners Hall. Ms. Himaja Nagireddy will be our keynote speaker — Ms. Nagireddy is a Masters student at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public health, who has held positions at the CDC, USAID, and UNA-UConn. She will be sharing her insights on global health, and its intersections with global justice, climate change, and gender equality.

Our additional panelist will feature some familiar names from Northeastern,  Mr. Denis Skarep, Mrs. Vichenny Sam, Professor Daniel Aldrich, and Ms. Kendra Cornelis. who will all be speaking on personal experiences with displacement,  being a refugee, and  and of course on resilience.
